"2009 East Coast Music Award Nominee"
"2009 An'R International Award of Excellence"

Drumlin is a family band from Nova Scotia with a passion for adapting, arranging, and restoring fragmented Canadian heritage songs into a cutting edge fusion of traditional and modern music. Dal, Anya, Kassia, and Liam Gilbert are multi-instrumental performers and talented songwriters, giving expression to the inner thoughts and candid observations of the new generation.

Drumlin has been performing together for almost a decade. Their dynamic musical presence heartens the audience and celebrates life. The heritage songs performed by Drumlin have a rich and mystical history, creating the musical equivalent of historical fiction: entertainment and intimate insight into the past. Drumlin's East Coast sound and sibling harmonies are being featured on an ever-increasing number of other Canadian albums.

Drumlin's new release 'Mackerel Skies' features twelve intriguing and untamed Nova Scotia heritage songs selected from the collections of folklorist Helen Creighton. These songs were chosen from over one thousand tunes found in the Nova Scotia Archives. 'Mackerel Skies' has charted in the ‘top ten’ on college radio stations across the nation, was embraced by CBC radio, and has received great reviews, numerous accolades, and international airplay.

DRUMLIN recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia through the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Heritage. They are pleased to work in partnership with the Culture Division to develop and promote cultural resources for all Nova Scotians.
